Can I arrange my rental before arriving in Italy?+

Yes. ONERA helps you research accommodation, coordinate with the landlord and access Italian legal assistance while you are still at home. You can understand the proposed property, agreement and next steps before making the move.

Does support continue after I move in?+

Yes. Ongoing support is part of the ONERA approach, including landlord communication, apartment maintenance coordination, payment oversight and access to Italian legal assistance throughout the tenancy. The arrangements and availability are defined in your service agreement.

How does the apartment maintenance service work?+

Throughout the rental period, students have a local point of contact for apartment maintenance. ONERA coordinates with its workers in Italy and the landlord to address reported issues. Reporting arrangements, response availability and responsibility for repair costs are defined in the service and rental agreements.

What does ONERA’s guarantor role mean?+

ONERA acts as the student’s guarantor to the landlord through a written guarantee. The obligations covered, financial limits, duration and conditions are specified in that agreement. Students and owners receive the relevant terms before proceeding.

Who provides the legal assistance?+

Legal assistance is provided by an Italian lawyer. It covers agreed rental-related matters before signing, during the tenancy and after the lease ends. The scope and any applicable fees are confirmed in advance.

How does ONERA help property owners with payments?+

We monitor rental payments and follow up to help keep them on schedule. ONERA also provides the payment protection specified in its written guarantee, giving the owner a defined commitment to rely on.

Can parents be involved?+

Yes. Families can discuss the move with ONERA from the start. We help explain the rental process and local support arrangements; any sharing of the student’s tenancy information is agreed with the student.

How are maintenance, fees and availability agreed?+

Your agreement sets out the maintenance arrangements, how issues are reported, response availability, service fees and any separate repair costs. The legal assistance and guarantee terms are also clarified before commitment.
